Already celebrating its 50th year of existence, IIM A added another feather to its cap after it was ranked seventh in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management 2011 Rankings. IIMA is the only Business School from India to feature in the ranking once again this year after being ranked eighth in 2010.
As per FT's findings, IIM A performed better than top ranked business school Universität St.Gallen of Switzerland, third ranked HEC Paris and fourth ranked ESCP Europe in terms of weighted salary. As per its survey, IIM A's 'salary today,' which is an average of salaries three years after graduation, is $103,524. It also indicates a rise of $10,831 as compared to last year. The survey also pointed out that the percentage of women students was 10 which is 5 less than last year. However, it improved its performance under international mobility category rank (41) and international course experience (42).
Meanwhile, there was some more good news as IIM A was ranked as the best among the top B-schools in India by a leading Indian magazine. It was ranked best under recruiter, faculty and student perception.
